Silke Eckstein arbeitete von 1996 bis 2011 am Ifis. Sie ist nun Studienrätin für Informatik und Mathematik am Gymnasium Salzgitter-Bad und zugleich Privatdozentin für Informatik an der Carl-Friedrich-Gauß-Fakultät der Technischen Universität Braunschweig. Ein kurzer Lebenslauf findet sich hier.
